Parasailing in Kemer and Tekirova: How It Works and Safety

2 min read
Kemer offers a unique blend of natural beauty and rich history

Parasailing is one of the most popular water activities on the beaches around Kemer, from the town centre to Tekirova: you are towed behind a boat under a parachute and rise high above the bay for a few minutes of quiet views over the sea and the Taurus Mountains. No experience is needed. This guide explains how a flight works, where to find operators, who can take part and what to check for safety.

How parasailing works

  1. Booking: Operators work from the beaches and water-sports points in summer; flights depend on wind and sea conditions.
  2. Briefing and harness: Staff fit your harness and life jacket and explain take-off and landing.
  3. Flight: The boat accelerates and the parachute lifts you up; most flights last a few minutes.
  4. Landing: You are brought back down to the boat or the water.

Where to go

  • Kemer centre: Water-sports operators along the central beaches.
  • Tekirova, Çamyuva and Göynük: Beaches with resort water-sports centres and independent operators.
  • Beldibi: Parasailing is among the water sports offered along the Beldibi coast.

Shore type and depth for each beach are in our Antalya beaches guide; for other water sports see kayaking and SUP and diving in Kemer.

Who can fly?

  • No experience is needed. Tandem and single flights are usually available.
  • Minimum age and weight limits depend on the operator; ask before booking.
  • People with heart, back or blood-pressure conditions, and pregnant women, should not fly without medical advice.

Safety checklist

  • Choose licensed, insured operators with well-maintained equipment.
  • Always wear the life jacket provided.
  • Do not fly in strong wind; reputable operators cancel when conditions are poor.
  • Agree the price and flight length before you start.

Best time

June to September is the main season. Mornings are often calmer; afternoon sea breezes can stop flights on some days.
