Cliff Jumping near Kemer and Antalya: Deep-Water Spots and Safety

Kemer’s coast is a mix of pebble beaches and rocky headlands where the water can be deep right next to the rocks, which is why swimmers often ask where they can jump in. There are no officially designated cliff-diving sites around Kemer, and every jump into the sea carries real risk. This guide explains where deep water meets the rocks along Antalya’s coast, how to check a spot before you jump, and safer ways to enjoy deep, clear water.

Where deep water meets the rocks

  • Antalya’s cliffs (falez): In Antalya city, the public beaches along the cliffs, such as İnciraltı, Erenkuş, Konserve Koyu and Kent Parkı, are entered from rock platforms or ladders, and the water is deep straight away. They are run by Muratpaşa Municipality and appear in the official Blue Flag records.
  • Kaş: Hidayet Bay and Limanağzı are known for very clear water that is deep from the shore; several Kaş beach clubs have rock platforms with ladders into the sea.
  • Kemer’s coves: Rocky headlands between the pebble beaches north and south of Kemer, and coves reached by boat, have deep water close to the rocks. Depth and hidden rocks vary from spot to spot.

For shore type and depth beach by beach, see our Antalya beaches guide.

Before you jump: a safety checklist

  1. Check the depth yourself: Swim the landing area first and look for rocks below the surface. Clear water makes rocks look deeper than they are.
  2. Start low: Jump from water level or a low platform before trying anything higher.
  3. Feet first: Never dive head first into water you have not checked.
  4. Know your way out: Make sure you can climb back out safely, especially when there are waves.
  5. Never alone, never after alcohol: Have someone watching from the shore or a boat.
  6. Watch for boats: Coves visited by tour boats have boat traffic close to the rocks.
  7. Respect signs and rules: Some platforms and protected areas do not allow jumping.

Safer ways to enjoy deep, clear water

  • Boat trips: Tour boats stop in deep, clear coves, and jumping from the boat’s swim platform is common and supervised. See our boat tours guide.
  • Snorkelling and diving: Explore the rocky drop-offs with an instructor. See our diving in Kemer guide.
  • Kayak and SUP: Paddle along the rocky coast on calm mornings. See our kayaking and SUP guide.
