Kemer is not a single resort town. It is a stretch of coast running from Beldibi in the north to Çıralı and Olympos in the south, and every bay has its own character. Where you stay shapes your holiday. In the centre everything is within walking distance; in Tekirova or Çıralı you are closer to nature but more dependent on a car. This guide compares Kemer’s areas from north to south.

Kemer’s areas at a glance

Area From Kemer centre Character Best for
Beldibi North, about 12–15 km Long beach between mountains and sea, large resorts Staying on site
Göynük North, about 5–6 km Canyon, tennis, beachside hotels Nature and sport
Kemer centre — Marina, bazaar, Moonlight Beach, restaurants Beach plus town life
Kiriş and Çamyuva South, about 5–8 km Quiet bays, large resorts Peace and quiet
Tekirova South, about 13–15 km Near Phaselis and the Tahtalı cable car Nature and history
Çıralı and Olympos South, about 35–40 km Guesthouses, ancient city, nature A quiet, natural holiday

Distances are approximate and depend on the route.

Beldibi

A long beach where the Taurus Mountains meet the sea, lined with large all-inclusive resorts. Prehistoric Beldibi Cave is here. It is closer to Antalya, so the airport transfer is shorter, but you need transport to reach Kemer centre.

Göynük

Just north of the centre, known for Göynük Canyon and its tennis club, which hosts the Turkish Bowl junior tournament each April. Kemer centre is a few minutes away by car or minibus.

Kemer centre

The heart of the area: the marina, the bazaar, Moonlight Park and Beach, restaurants and nightlife are all within walking distance. Minibuses run along the coast. Ideal if you want both the beach and town life. See our guide to staying in Kemer centre.

Kiriş and Çamyuva

Quiet bays just south of the centre with large resorts and a long beach. Good if you want calm but still want the centre nearby. See our Çamyuva guide.

Tekirova

Close to Phaselis and the Tahtalı cable car, with large resorts set among pine forest. See our Tekirova guide.

Çıralı and Olympos

Small guesthouses, tree houses, the ruins of Olympos and the flames of Yanartaş. A natural, low-key holiday, but far from Kemer centre and best with a car.
